I, Tino Brazao, traveled to Cabo Verde in 2011 with a local Boston men’s basketball team, called Strela Negra, to participate in a Luso-African basketball tournament spearheaded by Rodrigo Mascarenhas of the Cabo Verde men’s national basketball team. The tournament and festivities took place in Santiago, Cabo Verde.
