The first day of the 2017 A.C.V.B. season kicked off as it was expected with great battles on floor including renewed rivalries tracing back to Cabo Verde. Competition was phenomenal and each game was increasingly excited. Perhaps the most exciting was the prime-time game between Lenfer and Bairro that went to 3 overtimes in which Lenfer triumphed in a great victory 92-91. The match up between ABC and Predio was also highly competitive as the game also went to overtime giving ABC leverage by 2 points, 51-49. Campana beat Vulcanicos 49-37.
