The third week of regular season for ACVB has proven to be another round of great performances by talented players and challenging matchups for a number of teams.
Game summaries below:
Volcanic vs. 7 Stars: Avery Cardoza of the Volcanics led the way in their matchup against 7 Stars by pouring in 26 points to go along with his 3 assists in their 66 to 44 victory. Volcanics have a reinforced roster this season, whose talent is evident. Roger Livramento (VOL) also added 16 points and 6 assists to help carry them to victory over Seven.

Brava Magic vs. Terra Branca: In this game, Shawn Yard, Kwame Lee, Admar Depina and Kevin Ramos all scored in double figures for Terra Branca, as they cruised to an 80 to 64 victory over Brava Magic, which is a new team to ACVB this season. Kyle Houston (BRV) was the leading scorer for the Magic with 17 points, but it was not enough to put them over the top this week.
Campana Lança vs. ABC: Campana Lança suffered their first ever regular season loss after going undefeated last season. They are currently 2 and 1, resulting in a four way tie for first place. The defending champions ABC over took Campana in the closing minutes to end the game with a 48 to 46 victory. Although, Campana carries a deep roster, ABC’s years of experience playing as a team was critical in closing out the game in the final minutes.
Bairro vs. Lem Ferreira: The game was a heated and close battle down to the very end. In the end, Lem Ferreira was able to edge out a one-point victory in overtime. Free throw shooting was critical in deciding the game down the stretch. This was the first regular season loss for Bairro who was undefeated going into this matchup.
ACVB will pause for a couple of weeks as we move through the month of December for folks to celebrate the holidays and the new year, and then we will return on January 7th with more exciting games. Thanks.
